What’s In a Name?

This post by Alberto Villoldo sums up my personalshakespearwhatisname654.jpg philosophy about ‘names’ in general or in assigning ‘the doings of our life’ descriptions to ourselves for the benefit of others who are busy trying to classify us in their own minds in some way, i.e.:  I’m a teacher….I’m a writer…I’m a helpful/not-so-helpful person…besides evidently being impatient and rude to friends, etc.  (It’s a wonder that I have any friends. 🙂 )

Yesterday sitting around the table at a group gathering, a friend was doing a lengthy explanation to the rest of us about a sudden personal revelation that she had had. It pertained to how she now ‘defined’ herself in some way—meaning, she said it defined WHO she is now, as opposed to WHO she was in the past (or at least how she saw herself from then to now).

Not being a (name) socially polite or (name) patient person myself, through all the elaborate bobbing and weaving in her lengthy story, I rudely cut in and asked, “But WHO are you?”   I mean wasn’t that the entire point of the whoamiquote234.jpgstory? Who are you now, that you weren’t two weeks ago?  Wasn’t that the most important thing for her to know that she had suddenly discovered on her life journey?

She looked a bit miffed at (name) old-rude-me, and then smilingly said that if I’d just let her finish, she would have told us who she was.  With me now properly but politely chastised, she started the story again, winding here and there, here and there, and guess what?  She never did tell us WHO she now was; instead she simply told us what she planned to do or to pursue in the near future.

Eh, ….that’s not the same thing is it? Who you are and what you do? Not to me anyway.

So this morning Alberto puts out this post about using names and identifying yourself in certain ways that tend to become self-fulfilling prophecies.  And not surprisingly, he makes my point below far better than I just did above, so I listed it here in its entirety.

 Alberto Villoldo  (on Facebook)

I am.

These are two of the most powerful words in our language. Whatever words we place after these two words shapes our reality for the entire day, and sometimes for the rest of our lives.

The first time you experience your “I am” is when you learn your name.

For a long time, I introduced myself as “I am Alberto,” instead of saying “My name is Alberto.” I believed I was my name, which was also my grandfather’s name; it was the extension of the story of my family. What I knew about our family history revealed that we were pirates and highwaymen, with an occasional slave owner and merchant on our family tree─not much to look up to, really.

When you say, “I am <your name here>,” you rouse the spells of your ancestors. Some of these spells are about your health and how you will live and how you will die. When you go to your doctor, she asks what your parents died from. Breast cancer, heart disease, dementia─she tells you that your destiny has been cast, that it is written in your family genetics. When you go to the therapist, she shows you that the stories that run in your family leap from one generation to the next, until you become just like the mother or father you vowed you would never become.

If you live long enough, you will get to ask the question Who am I?

It is a terrible question, because it launches you on a journey into places and experiences that are unknown. You realize that you are not your name, that you are not your family, that you are not your job or any of your myriad roles in your life. That you hate Brussels sprouts and love the opera is not, I repeat not, who you are. Until you begin to transform the dream of security, you do not have the foggiest idea of who you really are.

But ask the question; this is a step in the right direction.

When my father was in his seventies he called early one morning and said to me, “Alberto, I have been living someone else’s life. I have tried to be a good husband, a good provider, a good person. But I have no idea whose life I have been living.” And for the next few years after he asked himself that question, he lived his own life until he died. I like to think that my father died at the age of five, but it was a well-lived five years.

After you spend a long time discovering that you can’t be defined by your name or by your nationality or by your gender ─ that all of these are real but not intrinsically true ─ you begin to understand that what you thought was your life and your identity was only a daydream.

You let go of the need to place something after “I am ____,” because you now recognize it is a complete statement (without filling in the blank).”

Natalie Sudman’s ‘NDE in Iraq’ Video (2017)

A Paul Selig post today mentioned this Natalie Sudman video and suggested to view it, so here it is if you are interested. (NDE means “Near Death Experience.” )

As you can also see below, the photo of her at Walter Reed Hospital is with then Pres. George W. Bush.

(FYI: The interrupting ads might be annoying but the video content is informative.)

Natalie Sudman had quite an unusual near-death experience in the moment when her truck hit the (IED) bomb in Iraq. She did not experience the typical out-of-body experience where she might nataliewbush42have been floating above the scene before rushing through a tunnel toward the light. Instead, Natalie simply blinked from one environment to another instantly, finding herself on a sort of stage addressing thousands of other spirits who seem to be studying her experience vicariously.

Natalie then describes a sort of download of information. She calls it a ‘transfer of information in the form of an inexplicably complex matrix’. The information included ‘events, thoughts, incidents, individuals, and groups in all their relationship complexities: stories, concepts, connections, nuances, layers, judgments, and projections. It included kinetic equations and dimensions and symbols and flows.’ or as she says later, ‘might be very broadly understood as cultural and political information’.”

Natalie Sudman quotes:

  • “Attention and intention create manifestation.” (20 minutes in) “Our thoughts create our reality.”
  • “I chose this experience—and the value inherent in this incident”
  • “We all choose our experience.”
  • (Around 43 minutes in) “Now I know that each and every consciousness makes a valuable contribution to this world and beyond—no matter how insignificant and screwed up that person might seem from within our belief structures—one person changes themselves and this world just by imagining, in this moment, a more harmonious possibility. Thank you.”

Live-stream Option for Dr. Joe Event

Again, just passing along the live-stream opportunity here.  Too bad it isn’t free. ($50)

As an energy worker myself, I am encouraged to see how well he explains the energy body and how our total system functions because we tend to think only of our physical body as the instigator of all our illnesses and maladies; but the energy body is the animator of our being and when those main chakra energy centers are blocked or damaged in some way, it throws our physical/mental/emotional systems into complete disarray.

I’ll list the promotion info for the event and then comment again afterwards:

“An intentional thought needs an energizer, a catalyst— that energy is an elevated emotion. Heart and mind working together. Feelings and thoughts unified into a state of being. The quantum field doesn’t respond simply to our wishes—our emotional request. It doesn’t just respond to our aims— our thoughts. It only responds when those two are aligned or coherent— that is, when they are broadcasting the same signal. When we combined an elevated emotion with an open heart and conscious intention with clear thought, we signal the field to respond in amazing ways. The quantum field responds not to what we want; it responds to who we are being.

The quantum is the realm of infinite possibility. The only way you can experience this realm is with your awareness, and when you do, your consciousness is connecting to greater levels of frequencies and information.   Dr. Joe is giving you the opportunity of a lifetime to enter the quantum field as the collective consciousness of our community to create a new experience or new possibilities in your life.⁣⁣

You can join our upcoming live stream where Dr. Joe will be breaking down The Formula to change your life radically the live stream is taking place on July 27th at 10am pst (unlimited viewing for 30 days)  ($50 cost)  The main reason we are taking portions of our advanced retreats and turning them into a live stream format is that you, the community, have requested it.⁣⁣

I found this particular testimonial from his workshops was excellent in terms of how a woman worked through the energy release of healing her childhood sexual abuse.   It offers excellent explanations of the chakra energy centers releasing shame/guilt/terror energy blockages and then reopening and realigning the energy centers, and how that physically and emotionally affects us.  Joe explained it more thoroughly as she spoke including physical ramifications of blockages and reopenings.

But honestly I must say that the testimonial prior to that one did make me cringe (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IuvELXutkf0 )  with his hands-y approach to the young woman, and watching her facial discomfort with his wrapping around her from behind and his hand on her chest area (heart chakra location—heart, lungs, bronchial areas because she previously suffered from debilitating asthma).  I do think that was inappropriate and I will call him out on that.  I know what he was saying and doing energy-wise about using his own energetic heart opening behind her to encourage her heart to burst open, but still….the manner in which he demonstrated the heart-opening effect on her was highly inappropriate. And yes, that did adversely taint my opinion of his teaching techniques so we’ll see where it goes from here.

So form your own opinions on the content and benefits of what he is describing.

Quotes from James Van Praagh’s Adventures of the Soul: Journeys Through the Physical and Spiritual Dimensions

jvpaotsoul23.jpg

Long ago I accepted an opportunity to receive the online PDF version of Van Praagh’s Adventures of the Soul  book that was made available (likely through Hay House). I’ve read parts of it but I’m more of a hardcover-between-my-hands sort of book reader, so the PDF has been on my computer for probably years.

JVP is also on my Facebook follow list so when he put something out today that resonated in me, I thought about his PDF book that I still have.

That inner nudge that I always follow said to revisit that long-stored PDF file because there was something that I needed to share today from that book.  So here we go from JVP’s Adventures of the Soul.  Whatever resonates today with me is what will appear here:

“— Your personality, memory, and mind are all contained in your astral body. When your physical body dies, the “real you” is still in your astral body, and it becomes aware of life outside the human body in the Astral Plane to which your earthly acts have drawn you.

  • The lowest Astral Plane draws the least evolved souls—those who have not learned the lessons of love and respect.
  • The intermediate Astral Plane draws in those who need rest and rehabilitation after a long physical disease, traumatic experiences, or inflexible beliefs.
  • The highest Astral Plane is what we humans would call heaven—a place of opportunity for souls to grow in spiritual consciousness.

— The soul will eventually decide whether to return to the Earth plane for more experience or to venture on to the Mental Plane. This level offers unlimited development of the individual soul. There is access to the accumulated wisdom of the ages.

— The highest realm is the Celestial Plane. Here is where the individual soul becomes one with all universal life. Christ, Buddha, and other great spiritual leaders are here. (p7-8)

***

You can be a well-read spiritual scholar, but unless you apply the concepts of love, compassion, and empathy to your daily life, all that book learning is for naught. (14)

Religion vs. Spirituality

Many people ask me about the difference between being religious and being spiritual. I think that difference is significant. Religion is a man-made, organized belief system consisting of various creeds, teachings, rituals, and documents and usually (but not always) revolves around a deity of some kind. If people follow a specific belief system, it is their conviction that this is how they will receive a greater position on the other side.

In contrast, spirituality is the very personal search to find the greater meaning in life and one’s existence in this world. It doesn’t have to involve rituals or written words and may encompass having a love for a Divine Source, or God, and learning to use this all- encompassing energy in every situation. In being spiritual, you have a respect and love for self and an understanding of your connection to others. (p15-16)

***

Everyone has spirit guides, and they can change with our earthly circumstances. We have:

  • Personal guides, who are people we’ve known in the physical dimension
  • Mastery guides, who are drawn to us based on certain activities we’re currently engaged in
  • Master teachers, who are very evolved and may never have incarnated on this physical plane (p29)

***

Since my NDE (near death experience), I have done some research, and I discovered that besides the feelings of peace and love that survivors experience, many people have observed a “weblike” matrix of interconnecting lights existing above and around humans. I think this matrix might be what is commonly referred to as the Akashic records, an energetic imprint of every thought, action, emotion, and experience that has ever occurred. Sometimes called the “Collective Consciousness” or “The Book of Life,” it’s the vibrational record of every soul and its journey. Everyone has the power and right to access the Akashic records because, as souls, we are the records. (38)

Death Is Merely Change

There is a monologue from Shakespeare’s play ‘As You Like It’ that begins:

‘All the world’s a stage, And all the men and women merely players: They have their exits and their entrances; And one man in his time plays many parts . . .’

I am very fond of that quote, and I’d like to take the liberty of expanding on it. Before the “actors” make their entrances, they choose the parts that they will play and whom they will play them with. And after they make their exits, they still watch us from backstage and cheer us on and root for a fine performance. When it comes time for our exit, they will be there in the wings to greet us, and we in turn will continue to watch the play and applaud for our fellow actors, before it’s time for them to join us backstage. Then we can all decide on the best time to make a new entrance, and in what roles. (50-51)

The love energy of each particular soul as it leaves the body vibrates at different rates, and the energy you happen to be vibrating at when the silver cord is broken will determine your place in the dimension of Spirit. The levels aren’t deemed good or bad (that’s not a concept in Spirit), just different. Some humans who made a conscious effort to use their free will to raise the energy of love on Earth (or who made the “tapestry” brighter) will gravitate to the corresponding level in Spirit, and those who lowered the energy will gravitate to a different level.

Just as the earth is composed of many countries, the Spirit World is composed of many levels. These “worlds within worlds” are energetic levels and not in a specific location. The Spirit World, or heaven, is not “up”; it’s interdimensional. Everything occupies the same space, but the energy vibrates at different rates, and each level is a solid, real world to those beings in it. (p70-71)

***

Like attracts like, so the beliefs you held on Earth about the hereafter are mimicked in the Astral World, for the sake of a smoother transition. For instance, if you have a very strong belief system as a born-again Christian, you will gravitate to an astral level that is the home of others of your belief system. The same could be said for nonbelievers or skeptics of life after death. They will of course live on, but they will be at a level in the Astral World made up of other nonbelievers who may not, at first, accept life past the physical world. (p73)

***

I was blown away, but then I realized that we are exactly what we think, and the environment we create matches the level of awareness we’re at. It is a misconception to believe that all souls have an immediate expansion of consciousness once they leave the body. You are what you believe, and you will expand and grow and evolve in your own time. (p74)

***

Random acts of kindness such as a smile to a stranger carry more weight than attending church every Sunday out of obligation. You can literally change the energy field around you by keeping your thoughts high-minded, and only attract those who gravitate toward the higher vibration. Remember that like attracts like, so when you bring that energy into your life, only good things can happen—and what you reap may arise from something you had no conscious awareness of sowing. (p78)

***

Souls in the Astral World may reincarnate directly from there, or they may move up to the subtler dimensions known as the Ethereal World….The Ethereal World—also known as the Thought Plane—vibrates at a higher rate than the Astral World. It seems to be made up of soul beings who have reached a point of purity of mind and thought, and really are connected to us through what is known as inspiration. …  It is a formless realm that is made up of pure consciousness. Thought and energy move about faster here than data in any supercomputer you can conceive of. …It is the place where the “higher self” resides. This plane is filled with light and love and truth. (p79-80)

***

The Celestial Plane is often referred to as the “Angelic Realm.” The souls who dwell on this level have achieved a particular degree of spiritual evolution and would be considered elevated beings. It is where angels and archangels; mystics and masters; and prophets whom we know as Jesus, Mohammed, and Buddha reside. …  The entities on this level have no humanoid characteristics and are connected to all life and able to bring the best attributes of higher conditions of being to others. This is also known as the bliss level, where there is a feeling impossible to conceive of on the lower spheres. It is tangible yet beyond the imagination and has been described as “divine joy.” (p81-82)

***

Your soul has delved into the dimensions of many worlds, planets, star systems, lifetimes, positions, situations, and experiences in order to bring knowledge, insight, and understanding to the world of Spirit. Just as a bee goes from flower to flower to bring pollen back to the hive, so does your soul go from life to life to bring your unique experience back to the Source. The soul’s adventures are always about learning, experiencing, expanding, and evolving.

People are constantly asking me, ‘What is my soul’s purpose?’ The easy answer is to love unconditionally. The energy that we call ‘love’ is what the world of Spirit is made of; it’s the natural rhythm of the Universe. (85) “

Perceiving the World as REAL

Checking my email this morning, Alberto Villoldo’s “Weekly Wisdom” newsletter came through with a quote that caught my eye because I’d been just reading and thinking truenatureofreality.jpgabout it: “…to interact with the vast information fields of the biosphere, you must enter a state of clear perception. Your mind must be at peace in order to perceive the true nature of the world…”

The other info source that I’d been slowly working my way through was Paul Selig’s third book in the Mastery Trilogy, The Book of Freedom.  Selig’s entire focus of this channeled trilogy has been to clarify our erroneous perception of the world and of ourselves in creating this presently chaotic existence—helping us to realize who we really are, what we really are, and how we really serve the greater collective consciousness, free of self-imposed limitations.

seligbk3freedomThe FREEDOM that the book declares for us is the freedom from fear—stating that FEAR creates our present reality—how we perceive the world around us, with us interacting in/creating that world, is the flawed nature of the reality that we mistakenly perceive as REAL.

So when I saw the Four Winds email this morning with the “…Your mind must be at peace in order to perceive the true nature of the world…” I knew I had to at least mention it here along with additional supporting explanations from Alberto Villoldo.

“…The Light Body

Shamans believe that the world seems real only because we perceive it as such and that everything we perceive is a reflection of an internal map that we ourselves, along with our culture, have constructed about the nature of reality. These maps are stored in what shamans know as the light body, and what scientists call neural networks in our brain. Shamans know that if they wish lightbodyrainbow34.jpgto change the outer world, they must begin by changing the inner maps, by healing the imprints of disease and trauma from the light body. They believe that the light body is the blueprint that creates health or disease.

When we heal our light body, we can access knowledge that is available to all human beings. In doing so, we could interface with the biosphere in ways we’ve never imagined, to upgrade the quality of natural information available to us, and install it in the hardware that’s been in our brains all along. …

… The Neuroscience of Enlightenment

Shamans believe that, to interact with the vast information fields of the biosphere, you must enter a state of clear perception. Your mind must be at peace in order to perceive the true nature of the world and not merely the reflection of your own below-the-surface drama created by your destructive emotions.

…  Power Up Your Brain: The Neuroscience of Enlightenment by David Perlmutter, MD, FACN, and Alberto Villoldo, PhD (Hay House, 2011).”

2018 Jan 30 —THE NEUROSCIENCE OF ENLIGHTENMENT

https://thefourwinds.com/blog/shamanism/the-neuroscience-of-enlightenment/

BLOG-30-01-18-3.jpg “…The Bible, Koran, Buddhist and Hindu scriptures all teach that we can be delivered into a paradisiacal state, whether after death, at the end of time, following many reincarnations, or as a result of personal effort and merit. This state of liberation is called grace or heaven by Christian religions, paradise by Muslims, and awakening or enlightenment by Eastern traditions (using various terms such as samadhi, mukti, bodhi, satori, and nirvana).

But what if grace, samadhi, and enlightenment are really based in biological science? What if they are states of higher order and complexity created by programmable circuits in the brain? Can neuroscience deliver on the promises presented by religion: freedom from suffering, violence, scarcity, and disease? Can neuroscience deliver us into a life where health, peace, and abundance reign? …

…shamans’ claim that they accessed information from the natural world―from the biosphere itself―by tapping into the invisible bioeco523wisdom of a field that permeates all of life. This web of life, which they refer to as the Divine Mother, is a living energy system that supports and informs all creatures. It is, in essence, a matrix of energy that connects all living entities.

This concept is making its way back into the minds of the science community. Scientists are also beginning to reconsider the notion of space as one huge void. A growing number of physicists postulate that space is not empty but full of energy―cosmic radiation from the Big Bang, pulsating electromagnetic fields, and gravity. Could this energy be a vast storehouse of information as well?

The pendulum has begun to swing back to the ancient belief in an interconnected universe and the importance of the divine feminine. Contemporary scientists, including the Noble Prize-winner Erwin Schrodinger, the neuroscientist Humberto Maturana, and the physicist Francisco Varela, have suggested the interrelatedness of all particles in the universe. …”  Alberto Villoldo, PhD

The Heart as Tuning Dial

What I’ve noticed lately is that whether or not I am in a good mood or a less-than-good mood depends solely on where I hold my thoughts.  As an energy practitioner, I know a number of ways to raise my frequency (my vibration) so that when life around me seems a little too distracting or even disheartening, I know that I have a choice in how I react to that initial feeling, and I have a choice in what I actually do about it.  First and foremost—every moment is a choice for us.

I want to stress this again: Every moment is a choice in how we respond to it.

nassimquotetuningdialheart6.jpg

We can choose to simply accept whatever is negatively affecting us and drop into some grumpy funk, or we can choose to shift our own mood higher because we control our thoughts and our emotions.

While we tend to think of ourselves as passive receivers of life’s blessings and curses, what we don’t seem to understand is that much of what we are experiencing is because we are actively calling those like-resonating frequencies to us to address them in some way—whether to heal a long-buried, still-simmering, childhood resentment or to possibly heal a recurring and unpleasant interaction with another person that we keep trying to avoid—like family members or once-close friends.

Until we harmoniously address those still unresolved energy-dissonance issues, they will keep returning to us for yet another chance to do so.  (Remember, you don’t forgive the mistakes of others so that THEY can move on—you forgive them so YOU can move on with your life—otherwise those recurring disruptive energies are still taking up too much brain-space in your head.)

Sometimes these festering unpleasant thoughts that invade our minds and cloud our better intentions are externally triggered by forces we can’t foresee.  Right now for whatever reason, be it excess gamma radiation from the sun, or ancestral karma rising to the surface for proper release, or just everyone’s current state of undeniable craziness due to constant chaos in our world, all of us are experiencing  deep psychological tremors shaking within us that can make us question our mental stability. There’s lots of unpleasant “STUFF” rising to the surface now for re-examination and release.

And if you know exactly what I’m referring to, don’t despair. We’re all feeling it.

But what I most want you to know is that you do have a choice in the matter of how you allow those inner disruptions to affect you.

whatwethinkwebecomebuddha.png

As Nassim Haramein and Dr. Joe Dispenza both remind us here, you can change your personal vibration simply by focusing your thoughts and emotions to where you want them to be. And the more you hold the higher frequencies of love and compassion in your heart, the more likely you are to attract those very frequencies from others around you.  This isn’t woo-woo talking—it’s physics.  The frequency you hold in your energy field is what you attract—it’s called the Law of Attraction.

If your present thoughts are heavy with sadness or grief, then yes, please do examine the possible reason for those powerful, lower-frequency feelings, but then shift your thoughts to where you want them to be—to a happier time, to a loving moment, to a better tomorrow where your life feels good and you are supremely happy with lots of love and full support from your environment.

As odd as this sounds, lifting your thoughts to a higher place and bringing your emotions (heart-felt) to that same level of higher resonance (love frequency), naturally shifts your personal energy-field vibration higher and you attract more loving, like-vibration people and situations to you.

Try it for yourself.

Nassim Haramein

“A Visualization from Nassim Haramein: Consider your own body being made mostly of space. Close your eyes and experience the space that you’re made of and the space around you vibrating like a crystal. Then imagine that the rate of vibration of your biocrystal structure in the structure of the vacuum is equivalent to the information pouring in and out of you, in the same way that a crystal radio set tuned to a certain frequency allows you to hear a specific radio station. In the body, if the brain is the antennae of the radio set, the tuning dial is the heart, which defines the frequency of information received through the fluid dynamics rhythm of your body, and which can be altered by your emotional state.”

Where Are We?

wherearewequote55.jpg

The “WE” here refers to ALL of us as humans; and we are a diverse group.

We are gender-determined for species propagation purposes, but not limited by gender for all other purposes.

We are perpetual social studies in dichotomies: We are darkness and light, cruel and kind, selfish and selfless.

And right now at this moment in time, we are here—wherever that actually is in our human consciousness evolution.wherearewestopsign45.jpg

But WHERE exactly is that here?  Where on this evolutional consciousness-progression are we?

With all the vocalized hatred spewing throughout the airwaves, I’m finding it hard to determine the exact location of that group consciousness “WHERE” we might be.

I mean it should be pretty simple to determine, shouldn’t it, just by answering a few key question, like:

  • How do we want our world to be…for ourselves, for our families, for our neighbors, and for our brothers and sisters throughout the world?
  • How do we personally want to live—in loving acceptance of others or in constant fear of them?
  • How do we really want to consider others—as friends and comrades in this large group endeavor or as enemies competing for every earthly resource and every inch of ground?
  • And how do we ourselves wish to be viewed—as reliable, good people and trustworthy associates to others, or as unscrupulous, conniving predators eyeing any opportunity to advance our own agenda?

I could easily rant and rage here about our present state of world chaos but it’s senseless to do so, because unless each of us determines for ourselves the best possible solution to those “HOW” questions above, nothing in our lives will change for the better.

camefromwombquote.jpg

Are we simply WHERE we are meant to be both individually and as a group collective as determined by fate alone?

Or are we merely hiding our heads behind multiple daily distractions allowing others to make those necessary world changes for us—allowing others to make the key life choices for us?

Are we really that apathetic or deluded to believe “others”—particularly power-hungry, political others with their own personal agendas—really have our best interests at heart, so we will let them determine our lives for us?

We, as a species and a world culture, have such potential for greater overall heightened awareness and better understanding of each other’s unique attributes, gifts, and educational value to the larger human group.

And at the same time we have such innate tendencies toward shallowness, self-interest, and pettiness.

The chaotic world we know at present is the result of choices we have previously made; and the world of tomorrow will be the result of choices we have yet to make.

betterpersonquote67.png

Be present.  Be here NOW.

Be aware that the choice you make today to BE the better person in your own life and in the lives of those around you makes the difference tomorrow in our every earthly endeavor.

When you allow darkness to perpetuate through hate language or fear mongering, and you say nothing against it—when you say nothing to STOP IT—you are allowing it to spread like cancer throughout your own life and the lives of those you most love.

At some point where we are will no longer be an unanswered question due to the present inclination for so many of us to avoid those hard decisions to prevent hatred from consuming us.

It will likely remain unanswered because we as a species will no longer exist to ask it.
