Live-stream Option for Dr. Joe Event

Again, just passing along the live-stream opportunity here.  Too bad it isn’t free. ($50)

As an energy worker myself, I am encouraged to see how well he explains the energy body and how our total system functions because we tend to think only of our physical body as the instigator of all our illnesses and maladies; but the energy body is the animator of our being and when those main chakra energy centers are blocked or damaged in some way, it throws our physical/mental/emotional systems into complete disarray.

I’ll list the promotion info for the event and then comment again afterwards:

Dr Joe Dispenza – OFFICIAL NEWS & FAN PAGE

“An intentional thought needs an energizer, a catalyst— that energy is an elevated emotion. Heart and mind working together. Feelings and thoughts unified into a state of being. The quantum field doesn’t respond simply to our wishes—our emotional request. It doesn’t just respond to our aims— our thoughts. It only responds when those two are aligned or coherent— that is, when they are broadcasting the same signal. When we combined an elevated emotion with an open heart and conscious intention with clear thought, we signal the field to respond in amazing ways. The quantum field responds not to what we want; it responds to who we are being.

The quantum is the realm of infinite possibility. The only way you can experience this realm is with your awareness, and when you do, your consciousness is connecting to greater levels of frequencies and information.   Dr. Joe is giving you the opportunity of a lifetime to enter the quantum field as the collective consciousness of our community to create a new experience or new possibilities in your life.⁣⁣

You can join our upcoming live stream where Dr. Joe will be breaking down The Formula to change your life radically the live stream is taking place on July 27th at 10am pst (unlimited viewing for 30 days)  ($50 cost)  The main reason we are taking portions of our advanced retreats and turning them into a live stream format is that you, the community, have requested it.⁣⁣

I found this particular testimonial from his workshops was excellent in terms of how a woman worked through the energy release of healing her childhood sexual abuse.   It offers excellent explanations of the chakra energy centers releasing shame/guilt/terror energy blockages and then reopening and realigning the energy centers, and how that physically and emotionally affects us.  Joe explained it more thoroughly as she spoke including physical ramifications of blockages and reopenings.

But honestly I must say that the testimonial prior to that one did make me cringe (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IuvELXutkf0 )  with his hands-y approach to the young woman, and watching her facial discomfort with his wrapping around her from behind and his hand on her chest area (heart chakra location—heart, lungs, bronchial areas because she previously suffered from debilitating asthma).  I do think that was inappropriate and I will call him out on that.  I know what he was saying and doing energy-wise about using his own energetic heart opening behind her to encourage her heart to burst open, but still….the manner in which he demonstrated the heart-opening effect on her was highly inappropriate. And yes, that did adversely taint my opinion of his teaching techniques so we’ll see where it goes from here.

So form your own opinions on the content and benefits of what he is describing.

Quotes from James Van Praagh’s Adventures of the Soul: Journeys Through the Physical and Spiritual Dimensions

jvpaotsoul23.jpg

Long ago I accepted an opportunity to receive the online PDF version of Van Praagh’s Adventures of the Soul  book that was made available (likely through Hay House). I’ve read parts of it but I’m more of a hardcover-between-my-hands sort of book reader, so the PDF has been on my computer for probably years.

JVP is also on my Facebook follow list so when he put something out today that resonated in me, I thought about his PDF book that I still have.

That inner nudge that I always follow said to revisit that long-stored PDF file because there was something that I needed to share today from that book.  So here we go from JVP’s Adventures of the Soul.  Whatever resonates today with me is what will appear here:

“— Your personality, memory, and mind are all contained in your astral body. When your physical body dies, the “real you” is still in your astral body, and it becomes aware of life outside the human body in the Astral Plane to which your earthly acts have drawn you.

  • The lowest Astral Plane draws the least evolved souls—those who have not learned the lessons of love and respect.
  • The intermediate Astral Plane draws in those who need rest and rehabilitation after a long physical disease, traumatic experiences, or inflexible beliefs.
  • The highest Astral Plane is what we humans would call heaven—a place of opportunity for souls to grow in spiritual consciousness.

— The soul will eventually decide whether to return to the Earth plane for more experience or to venture on to the Mental Plane. This level offers unlimited development of the individual soul. There is access to the accumulated wisdom of the ages.

— The highest realm is the Celestial Plane. Here is where the individual soul becomes one with all universal life. Christ, Buddha, and other great spiritual leaders are here. (p7-8)

You can be a well-read spiritual scholar, but unless you apply the concepts of love, compassion, and empathy to your daily life, all that book learning is for naught. (14)

Religion vs. Spirituality

Many people ask me about the difference between being religious and being spiritual. I think that difference is significant. Religion is a man-made, organized belief system consisting of various creeds, teachings, rituals, and documents and usually (but not always) revolves around a deity of some kind. If people follow a specific belief system, it is their conviction that this is how they will receive a greater position on the other side.

In contrast, spirituality is the very personal search to find the greater meaning in life and one’s existence in this world. It doesn’t have to involve rituals or written words and may encompass having a love for a Divine Source, or God, and learning to use this all- encompassing energy in every situation. In being spiritual, you have a respect and love for self and an understanding of your connection to others. (p15-16)

Everyone has spirit guides, and they can change with our earthly circumstances. We have:

  • Personal guides, who are people we’ve known in the physical dimension
  • Mastery guides, who are drawn to us based on certain activities we’re currently engaged in
  • Master teachers, who are very evolved and may never have incarnated on this physical plane (p29)

Since my NDE (near death experience), I have done some research, and I discovered that besides the feelings of peace and love that survivors experience, many people have observed a “weblike” matrix of interconnecting lights existing above and around humans. I think this matrix might be what is commonly referred to as the Akashic records, an energetic imprint of every thought, action, emotion, and experience that has ever occurred. Sometimes called the “Collective Consciousness” or “The Book of Life,” it’s the vibrational record of every soul and its journey. Everyone has the power and right to access the Akashic records because, as souls, we are the records. (38)

Death Is Merely Change

There is a monologue from Shakespeare’s play ‘As You Like It’ that begins:

‘All the world’s a stage, And all the men and women merely players: They have their exits and their entrances; And one man in his time plays many parts . . .’

I am very fond of that quote, and I’d like to take the liberty of expanding on it. Before the “actors” make their entrances, they choose the parts that they will play and whom they will play them with. And after they make their exits, they still watch us from backstage and cheer us on and root for a fine performance. When it comes time for our exit, they will be there in the wings to greet us, and we in turn will continue to watch the play and applaud for our fellow actors, before it’s time for them to join us backstage. Then we can all decide on the best time to make a new entrance, and in what roles. (50-51)

The love energy of each particular soul as it leaves the body vibrates at different rates, and the energy you happen to be vibrating at when the silver cord is broken will determine your place in the dimension of Spirit. The levels aren’t deemed good or bad (that’s not a concept in Spirit), just different. Some humans who made a conscious effort to use their free will to raise the energy of love on Earth (or who made the “tapestry” brighter) will gravitate to the corresponding level in Spirit, and those who lowered the energy will gravitate to a different level.

Just as the earth is composed of many countries, the Spirit World is composed of many levels. These “worlds within worlds” are energetic levels and not in a specific location. The Spirit World, or heaven, is not “up”; it’s interdimensional. Everything occupies the same space, but the energy vibrates at different rates, and each level is a solid, real world to those beings in it. (p70-71)

***

Like attracts like, so the beliefs you held on Earth about the hereafter are mimicked in the Astral World, for the sake of a smoother transition. For instance, if you have a very strong belief system as a born-again Christian, you will gravitate to an astral level that is the home of others of your belief system. The same could be said for nonbelievers or skeptics of life after death. They will of course live on, but they will be at a level in the Astral World made up of other nonbelievers who may not, at first, accept life past the physical world. (p73)

***

I was blown away, but then I realized that we are exactly what we think, and the environment we create matches the level of awareness we’re at. It is a misconception to believe that all souls have an immediate expansion of consciousness once they leave the body. You are what you believe, and you will expand and grow and evolve in your own time. (p74)

***

Random acts of kindness such as a smile to a stranger carry more weight than attending church every Sunday out of obligation. You can literally change the energy field around you by keeping your thoughts high-minded, and only attract those who gravitate toward the higher vibration. Remember that like attracts like, so when you bring that energy into your life, only good things can happen—and what you reap may arise from something you had no conscious awareness of sowing. (p78)

***

Souls in the Astral World may reincarnate directly from there, or they may move up to the subtler dimensions known as the Ethereal World….The Ethereal World—also known as the Thought Plane—vibrates at a higher rate than the Astral World. It seems to be made up of soul beings who have reached a point of purity of mind and thought, and really are connected to us through what is known as inspiration. …  It is a formless realm that is made up of pure consciousness. Thought and energy move about faster here than data in any supercomputer you can conceive of. …It is the place where the “higher self” resides. This plane is filled with light and love and truth. (p79-80)

***

The Celestial Plane is often referred to as the “Angelic Realm.” The souls who dwell on this level have achieved a particular degree of spiritual evolution and would be considered elevated beings. It is where angels and archangels; mystics and masters; and prophets whom we know as Jesus, Mohammed, and Buddha reside. …  The entities on this level have no humanoid characteristics and are connected to all life and able to bring the best attributes of higher conditions of being to others. This is also known as the bliss level, where there is a feeling impossible to conceive of on the lower spheres. It is tangible yet beyond the imagination and has been described as “divine joy.” (p81-82)

***

Your soul has delved into the dimensions of many worlds, planets, star systems, lifetimes, positions, situations, and experiences in order to bring knowledge, insight, and understanding to the world of Spirit. Just as a bee goes from flower to flower to bring pollen back to the hive, so does your soul go from life to life to bring your unique experience back to the Source. The soul’s adventures are always about learning, experiencing, expanding, and evolving.

People are constantly asking me, ‘What is my soul’s purpose?’ The easy answer is to love unconditionally. The energy that we call ‘love’ is what the world of Spirit is made of; it’s the natural rhythm of the Universe. (85) “

Life’s BIG Surprise

surpriseblast89 (1)

What is that BIG surprise? We all want to know this.

Will it be a pleasant surprise or a not-so-much one?

How will we feel when we receive it?

Happy?  Excited?  Shocked?  Horrified?

Well that’s why it’s a surprise because you have no idea what sudden “awakener” will drop on you from out of the blue.  It could even be a bit of space-junk that managed to clear combustion in the atmosphere and crashed through your new, just-paid-for roof and into your livingroom.

You were simply sitting at the kitchen table munching on your second spoonful of Cap’n Crunch, and “BOOM!” –the next room explodes with crashing furniture and plaster dust; and stunned you walks into the disastrous aftermath to see a steaming chunk of rocket debris where your coffee table once stood.  SURPRISE!emojisurpriseface

Yes, you’ll definitely have an unusual conversation piece for your next social gathering, but you might need to rearrange a few things to accommodate it—although the new natural skylight in the ceiling is an added bonus you hadn’t previously considered.

I think most of us try not to think about LIFE’s next BIG surprise because like the mock scenario above, some of our previous ones weren’t necessarily pleasant; and you can insert your own example here. I know that I certainly have mine.

But through that underlying anxiety of whatever LIFE suddenly “bestows” upon us without our knowledge or permission, we know that surprises are simply another aspect of LIFE. We learn through surprises.

We learn mainly about ourselves and our resourcefulness/resilience by having to work through their unanticipated debris-field afterwards.

Surprises either make us happy, or they make us stronger.  But we never let surprises break us.

So I vote for happy future surprises.happybabysurprised.jpg

But hopefully I’m well-prepared mentally and physically for whatever might occur instead because after all, that’s simply LIFE.

And if you haven’t seriously considered the possibility of a sudden “surprise” occurring for any of us, then perhaps you should consider it, because, you know,  …SURPRISE!

“The Garden of Forking Paths”

oOA netflix34.jpg

Ah yes, mid Netflix show, that quote caught my attention enough to write it down: “The Garden of Forking Paths.”

The show was “The OA” and it was spoken in an early episode of season 2.  And if anyone follows that particular series, you are open to considering multi-dimensional theory and the eternity of the Soul in its pure-light state that simply “samples” life in many different roles and many different settings throughout collective consciousness timeframes.

I assume the woman they call OA is the Divine Incarnate reference to the Alpha and the Omega, except it is reversed so that she is known as ‘the ending and the beginning’ (the Omega and the Alpha).  She is the Eternal One with self/True Self awareness—she is the aware and intentional traveler between or among all transitory lives.

multidimensionallivinglives56.jpgNow in theory we all travel many journeys and live many diverse lives throughout the created construct of TIME.  We ALL walk ‘the garden of forking paths.’  It’s just that most of us aren’t aware of doing more than one life at a time while staying within the parameters of that life experience.

OA had the option of shifting out of one life and into another but finding “the cast of players” seemed to be similar in those different lives. It’s just that few cast members remembered the others from one life to the next.

But, and it’s an important BUT, … she eventually realizes what happens in one life affects all other lives and affects all other participants in those other dimensions. Which means that whatever issues are resolved in one life, resolve smoothly in the other lives, and whatever issues remain unresolved prior to that person’s death in that life, are left to the other lives to resolve the issue in order to free the ‘karma,’ if you will, of all the original issue’s participants.

I know it seems complicated in a way, but to me who actually guides hypnosis clients through their own “Past-life Explorations,” it makes perfect sense; so I enjoy the interesting theories and subject treatments that this series explores.eternalone456.jpg

“The OA” isn’t a ‘warm and fuzzy’ nighttime tale, but it is a thought-provoking exploration of how we move through life in different situations with diverse and even life-threatening challenges; and how we confront shadow issues in ourselves and in others.

I thought season two of “The OA” took it to an even higher comprehension level.  And I applaud the writers for that.   Good stuff!  Well done!

The Softer, Gentler Person

At times I wish I were a softer, gentler person.littlegirlkitten (2).jpg

I wish I could look lovingly at what I consider the lesser behavior traits of others and smile with unconditional understanding and acceptance.

I wish I could just acknowledge how much inbred hatred and fear we all harbor for those who appear different than we are, and yet say ‘It’s okay because we are still quoteongentle45 (1).jpgblessed and mutually bound by our hearts to a greater Divine Love that connects us all.’

And actually mean it.

But I know I am not really a soft and gentle person, no matter how hard I work at becoming one.

That’s just not who I am. I’ve been warrior in too many lifetimes. This I know from my own hypnosis, past-life explorations.

Right now in this lifetime, I’m probably as soft and gentle as I’ll ever be, and that’s okay because it’s who I really am. You don’t tame warrior, you learn to redirect it toward constructive endeavors.

I’m probably more like this ornery, ginger-stripped cat who now shares my house, than I really want to admit.  While I often wish that he were more loving and cuddly—more quoteongentle45 (2)like our many other beautiful, sweet cats of the past—he simply isn’t, because that’s just not who he is and it’s not how he will ever be.

He’s a fighter—a tiger—a ‘tear into you with teeth slashing’ little, orange manic that really likes to do battle even against a much larger foe. (Which unfortunately in this house would be me.)

So I guess that despite how I tend to think of his fiercer, less-cuddly mannerisms as character deficits, I do live with the correct animal match for my true personality. It’s just not pleasant to see yourself reflected in your pet house-mate that way.littlegirlkitten (1)

And when he does decide to snuggle in under my chin, loving me up with his raspy red tongue while I cringe and shudder until he quits, I know that this sign of deep affection is his way of showing me his softer and gentler self, if only for a few, brief, peaceful moments at a time.

Dreams of Strangeness

When I saw this image on Facebook, I thought, “Wow, this is beautiful, but it also looks so familiar. Where have I seen…oh yes, it was in the vampire dream.” (a few posts earlier)dreamchapelvamps.jpg

Now how weird is that?  This looks exactly like the large chapel-type setting in that dream, just before the space ships began flying around outside and the vampires landed doing their vampire thing.

But also along with the image on Facebook, this was the caption—a quote: “Tell me what you yearn for and I shall tell you who you are. We are what we reach for—the idealized image that drives our wandering.”

~ James Hillman ❤

Considering my previous post on identity and this image so closely matching the vampire dream, I’d say the coincidences are a little too amazing. So then according to the quote, I have to ask myself:

Do I yearn to be a vampire slayer?

Hmmm.  Well not in the most literal/physical sense, but perhaps in the metaphorical one.

If vampires represented ignorance and that cruel darkness lurking within each of us that tries to destroy our life force, I could easily yearn for defeating that in myself and for helping others to do so.

Guess I’ll need that ‘nut-cracker holster’ on my belt after all.

Shoshin – The Beginner’s Mind

Sounds a bit paradoxical, but I can easily say that despite lessIknow45.pnghow much I’ve often thought that I knew throughout my life, or how hard-won that advanced knowledge came into being for me, the older I get the better I appreciate how little I actually DO know.

In truth it seems that with every passing day I feel this almost humorous certainty growing stronger within me: a certainty-of-my-own-ignorance—that jolting realization that what you once believed to be truth, actually wasn’t, and you may never know the REAL truth no matter how old or knowledgeable you become because that TRUTH exists in a realm that is incomprehensible to your present existence.

This body shock of awakening to our own innate ignorance can be scathingly honest and quite humbling.

It certainly was to my ego.

But to those who study Zen, this isn’t some new concept—some might simply call it ‘cultivating the Beginner’s Mind.’

What is Beginner’s Mind?  Here’s a good explanation first from Wikipedia, then from a Zen master himself.

Shoshin (初心) is a concept in Zen Buddhism meaning ‘beginner’s mind.’ It refers to having shozinbeginnersmind.pngan attitude of openness, eagerness, and lack of preconceptions when studying a subject, even when studying at an advanced level, just as a beginner in that subject would. The term is especially used in the study of Zen Buddhism and Japanese martial arts.”

Text source: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shoshin

Master Shunryu Suzuki can explain it far better than I can:

“People say that practicing Zen is difficult, but there is a misunderstanding as to why. It is not difficult because it is hard to sit in the cross‑legged position, or to attain enlightenment. It is difficult because it is hard to keep our mind pure and our practice pure in its fundamental sense.

In Japan we have the phrase shoshin, which means ‘beginner’s mind.’ The goal of practice is always to keep our beginner’s mind…

For Zen students the most important thing is not to be dualistic. Our ‘original mind’ includes everything within itself. It is always rich and sufficient within itself. You should not lose your self‑sufficient state of mind.

This does not mean a closed mind, but actually an empty mind and a ready mind. If your mind is empty, it is always ready for anything; it is open to everything. In the beginner’s mind there are many possibilities; in the expert’s mind there are few.

The most difficult thing is always to keep your beginner’s mind. There is no need to have a deep understanding of Zen. Even though you read much Zen literature, you must read each sentence with a fresh mind.

You should not say, ‘I know what Zen is,’ or ‘I have attained enlightenment.’ This is shoshinmaster.jpgalso the real secret of the arts: always be a beginner.

Be very, very careful about this point. If you start to practice zazen, you will begin to appreciate your beginner’s mind. It is the secret of Zen practice.”

Shunryu Suzuki
from Zen Mind, Beginner’s Mind

So I acknowledge that here I sit in my own ignorance while trying to make sense of our life existence.

These are the very things I often write about: What is reality?—What is consciousness?—What are we doing here? Why are we here? Who benefits and how do they benefit from our incarnating here during this time period or ANY time period?

All those unanswerable questions come down to the battle in our minds over the relevance between our DOING and our BEING.

Here is a basic truth as I presently know it:  I AM.  I EXIST.  I EXPERIENCE.  I OBSERVE.

And I try like the dickens NOT to judge the value of what I am observing because to do so implies a comparative knowledgebase that I do not have—at least not from my humble human perspective.

the-older-i-get-the-less-i-know-by-that-i-mean-the-less-i-am-sure-of-i-view-p-403x403-nkb3nfSo each day I open my eyes and wonder what this day will bring to me. I wonder what new realization will occur to my sensing abilities. I wonder what type of sense I can make of whatever is happening to me and around me, but knowing full well that ‘making sense’ is a judgment in itself.

However, I also know that only through shoshinbeginner’s mind—can I simply observe all and note those observances without judgment or expectation—knowing I must simply allow all occurrences (and not labeling them as ‘good’ or ‘bad’) to flow along with the river of life into the great sea of consciousness that connects us all and patiently awaits our return.

This I also know:  Beginner’s Mind is not easily achieved nor sustained for long unless you willingly intend it.
