The World Is Our Mind’s Reflection

Just listened to a short excerpt of Hota Kotb hodadeepaktoday.jpgon Today Show doing an interview with Deepak Chopra pertaining to his new book: METAHUMAN, and thought I’d share a few quotes that caught my ear.

Deepak:  “The best advice I can give…is don’t take yourself seriously.  You’re here today and gone tomorrow.”

“If you are taking yourself seriously you will be offended by others for the rest of your life.”

“The whole purpose of our existence is to find our own joy, to experience and maximize the experience of love, and to then find some meaning and purpose to our existence, and to be healthy.  And that is all.”

“Everyone is doing the best that they can from their present state of awareness.  Everybody is doing the best that they can from their own (behavioral) conditioning, which goes back to their childhood—what they heard from their parents.”

“Anytime you look at the world, you are actually looking at a reflection of yourself.  So when people criticize you, they are actually reflecting what they think of themselves.”

(She asks him: ‘In this moment where are you?’)

Deepak:  “I am at peace…I am totally at peace.  It’s easy.”

She responds with, ‘You’re right though—that’s all there is. What are we sweating?’

“Yes, take it easy. (Don’t automatically react to negativity or criticism around you)….We become biological robots constantly being triggered by people and circumstances, into predictable outcomes.  That’s a terrible way to live. You’re at the mercy of every stranger on the street.   They say something nice; you are flattered for the rest of your life.  They say something nasty; and you’re offended for the rest of your life.  What a way to live.”

To which she repeats: ‘What a way to live.  You’re right.’

The Loss of Collective Innocence

Again I’ll mention that I don’t know beans about astrology, zodiastarsconstellations.jpgbut I do know that the correlations between various light sources (direct light from the sun vs. reflected light from all other planets and moons, stars, etc.)  plus their mutually affecting orbits, gravities and counter-gravitational forces on each other, do form verifiable patterns of effect on which astrology bases its theories of planetary influence in the cosmos.  That disclaimer made, I listened to Kaypacha’s “Astrology for the Soul for Sept. 18th, 2019”, and heard this:

We are in the midst of the Great Awakening….  because Uranus is in Taurus for another 6 years.  It’s the end of illusionALL illusion dies—a lot of our dreams and illusions are crumpling down now—falling apart. Was our reality so real after all?  Or was it all a fantasy in our minds? …We’re feeling suppressed and overwhelmed…”   (Everything is feeling so overdone… so heavy.  Is this awfulness that we’re experiencing right now as a collective what LIFE is really about, or is LIFE what we make it?)

He continues:

“We’re all feeling lots of grief now—the need for letting go of the past—Saturn’s been sitting stationary for so long—forcing self-reflection on us…but Saturn is going direct now and taking that past away.   So wake up…what you’ve been doing in the past has created bad karma, so stop doing that bad stuff that damages your living environment.”

To which I wondered ‘Do we even know what “bad stuff” we are doing, consciously or not?’  Some things might be more obvious than others—like climate change, global warming, and ecological disasters. But I’m sure that the deeper psychological effects on us individually are much harder to determine.

Anyway, I’ll list the video here if you want to view it but he raises some interesting points for consideration.

When I’m feeling overwhelmed, A victim with no control, I need to get up, get out and shout, If only to hear myself roar.

KLleavesbehindsept2019

We are experiencing, along with stern Father Time standing still, a preponderance of 3/4 squares. The 270 degree square is considered a “crisis in consciousness.” Sun/Moon, Mercury/Saturn, Venus/Saturn, Jupiter/Neptune are all conspiring to make us all more conscious. At some point the question may arise, “Just how conscious do I wanna be?” It’s all about “growing up,” says Saturn. Part of that is the loss of innocence, which can include spontaneity, fun, play, joy, and fantasy/dreams. The “it’s all gonna be OK” can get drowned out by “You are responsible for correcting the situation or it won’t be OK!”

While this is part of the evolutionary process, the truth is, it may not be fun changing our ways, letting go of unconscious behavior patterns, and accepting the responsibility. At times like this it is also healthy to have patience with ourselves, accept that we are striving human beings and feel the loss of innocence and the grief, anger, and pain that may be involved. The north node in Cancer says it’s OK to cry, scream and shout when our toys get taken away. Bottling up our feelings in order to grin and bear it can also have negative impact in the present or down the road. So let out a big roar!”      Kaypacha Lescher

Deepak on the META HUMAN

metahumanbkchopra.jpg

This interview came through this morning on Deepak’s Facebook site pertaining to his latest book called META HUMAN.  I listened to it and wished there were a transcript to put on my blog (so I typed as I listened) because it’s about my favorite subjects—the nature of reality and the nature of consciousness. Amazingly he was fairly clear here in his descriptions but didn’t go into details on how you become that META HUMAN, which I would assume he covers in his book and is likely the result of direct-connecting into Source Consciousness (through meditation, etc.) and keeping that cleared channel open to create your new ‘reality’ experience.

“META HUMAN – DIRECTED BY Kabinett

In a conversation with celebrated Yoga Teacher, Eddie Stern, internationally acclaimed spiritual teacher, Deepak Chopra, describes the concept behind the title of his latest book, Meta Human. In this exclusive video, we hear directly from the author on what constitutes biologically informed human behavior — or what he refers to as “a bundle of conditioned reflexes” — and how we can reach ‘beyond’ that. The ‘perceptual band’ of humanity is what informs what we call ‘reality’, so how can expanding consciousness increase our perceptual bandwidth?

https://www.wearekabinett.com/p/kabinett/MTIwMzk2MTUw_MTI4OTcyNjMyNQ==?fbclid=IwAR3N3u3BAwCuz8Q706b5ws2voTl4r2FYPFoZlgzfq8iyeGlHFUjzAYXm6FA

“What is the META HUMAN? …  (Deepak Chopra speaking) choprapicface567.jpg

“So the word META means beyond. That’s all it means. Meta-physics is beyond physics. …It’s a branch of philosophy. And META HUMAN is going beyond what we usually see as human behavior. …

“(:47) But by and large, human behavior is robotic. We are like biological robots. Constantly being triggered by people and circumstances to predictable outcomes. …Like a bundle of conditioned reflexes.  And so not only do we have the same reaction over and over again, sankrit sanskara determine these actions or these are habits that create what we call the conditioned mind.

And the conditioned mind then projects the experience that we call the body and the universe.  So the world that you are experiencing right now, or that anyone is experiencing …is actually a world that is projected by the conditioning of consciousness as THIS, that we call ‘the physical world’.

So META means going beyond that.  Actually META is disruptive. You are no longer that bundle of conditioned responses and nerves. You have access to …DIRECT access to insight, to intuition, to inspiration, to creativity, to the power of intention.  You are not rigidly attached to your point of view.  You start to lose you habitual certainty that prevents you from knowing who you really are. …

rainbowconsciousnesspeople54.jpg

“( 2:48) … What we call everyday reality is the interpretation of a very narrow band of perceptual activity. We call it the WORLD. …We call it REALITY. But what it is, is an interpretation of our perceptual activity which in the human species, or any species, is a very narrow band of a species-specific perceptual activity which is actually an excitation of consciousness. Ok?

So your experience of the body is the same, …is created in the same way you experience the world. So when you shift to META HUMAN everything changes, because reality is different in different states of consciousness. The physical body is different in different states of consciousness. The mind is different in different states of consciousness.  Perception is different in different states of consciousness. Knowledge is different in different states of consciousness.”

2 Reviews on the book (AMAZON.com)

Metahuman is a wonderful explanation—and exploration—of the very highest and ultimate potentials that human beings possess, known around the world as Enlightenment, Awakening, the Great Liberation. What is not generally known is the secret revealed at the very heart of the great wisdom traditions—namely, that you already possess this ultimate potential; it is fully and totally present in you, right here and right now. All you have to do is recognize this ever‑present reality. If you would like to know exactly how to do this, Metahuman is a terrific place to begin!” —Ken Wilber, The Integral Vision and The Religion of Tomorrow

“We might suppose that the vastness of space-time, with its myriad stars and planets, comprises the preexisting stage for a ceaseless drama of life in which we are bit players. In Metahuman, Deepak Chopra persuasively invites us to turn this supposition on its head. We are the authors of space-time; we can wake up to our impressive stagecraft and embrace our true role.” —Donald Hoffman, Professor of Cognitive Sciences, University of California, Irvine, author of The Case against Reality

The “AGE OF THE FOOL”

Heyoka234.jpg

During my studies of Andean Shamanism and Native American cultures, I ran across the legend of the HEYOKA—the Fool—the Clown—the Contrarian, that I’ll briefly share here.

The Heyoka of a tribe was the person who often acted opposite to tribe rules and to socially acceptable norms; and he especially enjoyed performing the opposite of whatever might be expected from him, because he stood out better that way—he received far more attention from others, even if it was undignified comments at best.

Here’s a Wikipedia description:

“Social role

The Heyókȟa is thought of as being backwards-forwards, upside-down, or contrary in nature. This manifests by their doing things backwards or heyobackwwardhorse.jpgunconventionally—riding a horse backwards, wearing clothes inside-out, or speaking in a backwards language. For example, if food is scarce, a heyókȟa may sit around and complain about how full he is; during a baking hot heat wave, a heyókȟa might shiver with cold and put on gloves and cover himself with a thick blanket. …

Principally, the heyókȟa functions both as a mirror and a teacher, using extreme behaviors to mirror others, and forcing them to examine their own doubts, fears, hatreds, and weaknesses. Heyókȟa have the power to heal emotional pain; such power comes from the experience of shame—they sing of shameful events in their lives, beg for food, and live as clowns. They provoke laughter in distressing situations of despair, and provoke fear and chaos when people feel complacent and overly secure, to keep them from taking themselves too seriously or believing they are more powerful than they are.[3]

In addition, sacred clowns serve an important role in shaping tribal codes. Unbound by societal constraints, heyókȟa are able to violate cultural taboos freely and thus critique established customs.[4] Paradoxically, however, by violating these norms and taboos, they help to define the accepted boundaries, rules, and societal guidelines for ethical and moral behavior. …”

heyokah467

The Sacred Fool kept everyone alert to tribe anomalies by accentuating them so that all could more readily see the problem developing within the tribe’s governing structure or within growing member discontent and divisiveness.

But never did the tribe make a Heyoka the Tribal Chief—the leader of the tribe—because to do so would lead the tribe right off a cliff, or at minimal, lead them right into frictional group chaos, because that’s what Heyokas were best at doing—creating chaos wherever they went.

I personally think that’s what we are presently undergoing in our nation—we’re being lead by the tribe’s Heyoka.

The best behavioral example a Heyoka can ever demonstrate is to show you what NOT to do.

And he’s doing that really well.

The Beauty of Choice

Just talked to a close friend about her recent psychic reading from a woman she had never met and who had no idea about my friend’s life, history, family, etc. Sometimes those are the most accurate readings because the person doing the reading then has no tainted feelings about it one way or the other.

makeadiffchoicequote54

My friend’s impression of the ‘reading’ was that the lady was fairly accurate in stating some basic facts, but in others ways the woman made some erroneous ‘interpretations’ on what she might have been seeing or intuiting during the session.  (We all filter the world we see through our own biases and personal histories.  Good psychics recognize their innate tendency to judge and proselytize with a client, so they restrain themselves.  Not-so-good ones will tell you their opinions, instead of simply relaying the facts presented to them.)

One of the statements the psychic made even claimed that prior to our incarnation, we make contracts with our closest relations to come here and “act in certain ways” with each other.  She then said, “So don’t be unhappy with your (family-person) for how that person acted, and what you or she had to endure during that person’s life here because it was all preordained to play out exactly as it did.  She couldn’t have been any other way.”

To that I say BULLSHIT

We may incarnate with a set family of mutually-agreed spirits who are here to evolve and grow their own consciousness through interactions with each other, as well as through interactions with those beyond the initial family group, but HOW we individually act throughout our lives is a choice that we make every minute of every day that we breathe this earthly air. That’s what ‘free-will’ is all about. We ALL have choices in what we do and how we do it.

Every moment that we are alive involves a choice in how we respond to our surroundings and to all external stimuli; and those choices are both personally affecting to our own soul’s evolution and mutually affecting to others in our selected family groups at the same time (even affecting to the greater collective consciousness).

To live our lives daily, we ALL make choices, and each choice leads to other choices that diverge from that first choice like a tree branch growing new twigs that reach in ekrquotechoices54.jpgdifferent directions as the branch continues to grow up toward the sky. When you choose one particular branch of that tree of life to follow, you are pretty much limiting your upward growth potential to that branch’s original direction, otherwise you have to backtrack all the way down the original tree branch to the trunk base to then choose a different branch to follow because in this life, you’re not a leaping squirrel and can jump from this main branch to another main one and expect your life to simply shift for the better because of it.  It takes real work to reverse an unwise original direction.

It is possible and well worthwhile to change unwise original directions, but it won’t be easily done because we all make choices daily from early childhood onwards, and every choice leads to more choices until a general life direction is established. Then as we get older personal attitude, natural tendencies to rely on established habit, and other motivations to either face down each new challenge before us or to give up and succumb to them by numbing ourselves out with booze or pills, become the determiners of how far up that particular branch you climb.

Those are ALL CHOICES that we willingly make—that is NOT predetermination.  Period.

Yes, there are extremely difficult situations that we may have experienced in this life that might be excellent learning opportunities in disguise, BUT it takes a pretty enlightened person to view them as such. Otherwise, we simply view them as they were originally presented to us—just awful and senseless living environments that were hard for us to endure back then, and even harder to make sense of now.

But even with those previous takingchargeofmylifechoicehardships and tests of personal endurance, we still face a choice in how we respond to those memory challenges.  As a child, you might have been the unwilling recipient of your parent’s momentary or long-term instability, but as an adult who is capable of better understanding human weaknesses or frailties, you NOW have the choice in how you view those situations, and more importantly—you have the CHOICE in how you presently react to or not-react to those unpleasant memories.

Your offending parent made numerous choices in his or her life, and those choices may have adversely affected you as an impressionable and vulnerable child. While you had few choices at the time to handle those difficult childhood situations, you have many choices now to deal with the residual memories and tainted attitudes that may still haunt you.

That is the beauty of choice: Every moment presents you with a new one.

Despite what that psychic erroneously told my friend, happiness isn’t something predetermined for you prior to this life.

Happiness is a choice you make and a path that you decide to follow.

A Restrained (sort of) Opinion

I don’t consider myself unique in this world, and I’m certainly not immune to more passionate emotions or the desire to express my outrage or anger at hurtful statements and deeds—especially those statements and deeds intended to hurt or to incite the killing of others.newsshotelpaso23.png

But I’ve learned a thing or two in all the years I’ve been around, and one of those things is that anger openly expressed only promotes more retributive rhetoric and along with that, more overt expressions of that anger, including those who step up to defend the instigators of the original ‘hate rhetoric.’  So I try to restrain my desire to slash out at not just the flagrant malevolence present in the world today, but also at the people in power positions who either promote malevolent intentions/actions or those who simply allow them to continue without counter comment against them.

These things I know for certain:

  • Hate speech promotes further hatred of “otherness”.
  • Isolationism promotes personal advancement/security at the expense of all others.
  • ‘Valuing differences’ over sameness provides learning opportunities to expand the awareness of the greater ALL—whereas ‘valuing sameness’ over differences creates infested pools of cultural stagnation and leads to societal entropy. (There are reasons why isolated Amazon tribes still function in similar-to-stone-age social behaviors.)
  • Allowing hate speech to perpetuate over the airwaves only insures that it will escalate into physical acts of violence against the intended recipients, OR it will lead to counter actions to reciprocally repel and squash those who are inciting the violence. No matter what—hate speech leads to violence.

hatespeechpic432.jpg

  • “You get in return what you give”—is a pretty simple principle, and it’s what eventually happens to offending individuals, groups, and even nations; but sometimes it takes a long time and tremendous counter efforts to achieve the correcting results. ( And seriously people, if you aren’t willing to stand up for higher moral values to protect your neighbors from this flagrant hate-language, then don’t expect your neighbors to defend YOU when the situation flips and that hatefulness turns your way instead. It’s always just a matter of time before it does.)
  • And most importantly, I’m well aware that it doesn’t matter what I think—but I also know that to NOT express my “restrained” opinion would likely cause my head to explode.

Actually I feel exactly like Beto O’Rourke expressed a day ago when he first heard that his hometown was hit with a mass-shooting promoted by the Racist-in-Chief.  And I couldn’t have said it better than his initial response at the news crew’s downright stupid questions pertaining to “What’s his reaction to the El Paso mass-shooting?”  (Unrestrained “f—ing” all the way through the interview directed at the callous and idiotic questions news people were asking him over this horrendous tragedy befalling the town that he loves—involving  the people that he knew.)

2orourckonnews elpaso21.jpg

There are so many things wrong right now in our country’s social/cultural/and even political atmosphere that are seemingly unable to move the congress to pass the necessary legislation to address them, let alone to inspire the ruling party in the Senate to even counter the continual racist rhetoric from the ‘VERY White House’ Oval Office chief resident, that it is just a matter of time before major protest rallies occur across this nation.  And if that happens, things can get very nasty, very fast.

In all honesty, that might be exactly what he wants—to pit us against each other to further benefit himself because he likes to play the victim in self-created turbulence when instead he is the instigator of the problem.  He likes to create a pretend-crisis to then pretend to solve it.  Except he doesn’t solve it—he just stands in front of cameras and crowds and ferments more hatred over the issue. To him it’s one big show—that’s what his presidency is all about—mock theater and ratings.  Not only is that unbelievably short-sighted and ill-advised—it’s dangerous to our democracy.

The current Oval Office resident may not be a student of history, but for those of us who are, it’s a pretty short trip down memory lane to see where fascism and Nazism got their jacobsquotefrom buchenvald34.jpgstart—and unfortunately, it’s remarkably similar to this chaotic situation in our nation at present.

Hopefully somebody out there still cares about the direction that we are headed.  Maybe they are just waiting for the right moment to step forward.

Wonder when that moment might be, if not now?

August Energies: Dancing Between the Old and the New

Of the ‘energy assessors’ that I follow, I thought Lee Harris had the better analysis for August 2019 energies, and felt that it needed to be shared.  So my suggestion is to simply visit the website mentioned below where the video and transcript of his August energy assessment is available for you. (But I did break out a few key points below for emphasis.)

Energy Update August 2019

“If you are feeling like you have been through the wringer the last month or so, you are right on track. August will in some ways be a lot calmer and smoother in terms of the waters of life. But that’s in preparation for September when the speed will kick off again, so this is a month where we enter a new phase for the rest of the year. So, many of you will feel like you’re coming to the end of a period of reviewing and clearing in August, and ready to move into a period from September onwards where more birth and foundational energy will be available. August itself will have a very different energy signature to the last 2 or 3 months; a period which brought with it many surprises, twists and turns, and unexpected events.

The main themes to focus on for August for this NEW PHASE WE ARE ENTERING are:

  • A NEW LEVEL OF PRESENCE
  • VISIONS, DREAMS AND EPIPHANIES
  • SELF-CARE BEING NEEDED NOW MORE THAN EVER

What I was shown for August is that we’re about to enter a very new phase which makes sense of the last month or two – the intensity, the push-pull, the high emotions, the moving from one state to another quite fast. There has been a lot of vibrational upshift happening, in an awkward, uncomfortable or sometimes messy way. But this has been in relation to (and preparation for) the new phase we enter now in August. So, for those of you who are looking for a reprieve from the intensity, and surfing the extremes of the past few months, it’s going to take some time for that ‘clearing’ phase to calm down somewhat. So, self-care and your self-care needs are going to continue to be of high importance….”

***

“…So is it a new awareness you are opening or a new nudge to actually ‘create’ that you are having? Important to discern the difference right now as it can be tricky to know which.

I bring this up because in August especially, these dreams, visions, epiphanies and ideas are going to continue to be strong as part of you reviewing your life, this world, and reviewing what’s next. We’re in a planetary wide review of life and consciousness itself, and it’s an experience that’s going on for everybody….

***

“…There are more people in emotional, physical or circumstantial need right now on the planet than ever before. You’ll notice this and you’ll notice that these struggles are often the catalyst to awaken people into their hearts, their consciousness. It’s a shame it has to happen that way. It’s far nicer when it happens without a pressured circumstance, but that pressure is a part of how consciousness is opening and spreading across the planet….

***

“…And remember that for all of us it can be quite challenging, as we dance between old parts of ourself and new parts of ourself. So remember that today is new – and everything that we’re about to move through is quite new. But most of us in this dance of the extremes that I was talking about, especially in the month of July, we’re going between old patterns, old ideas, old beliefs and then straight into new ideas, new beliefs, new experiences….”         —Lee  Harris
