Technology Similes to Better Understand Life

The last few decades of technological achievements have provided numerous chipforbrainblue77.jpginnovations to ponder.  New information and new ways of living our lives are now aspects of current cultural and social advancements that previously were only considered as the subject matter of science fiction novels.

And likewise, we have new ways of ‘understanding something completely new’ by comparing it to something vaguely familiar—something already existing.  In writing that ‘understanding a subject better by comparing the unfamiliar to that which is familiar’ using the words “as” or “like,” is called using a “simile.”

This matters WHY?

Well I’ve been reading Paul Selig’s trilogy Book of Mastery (Book I), Book of Truth (Book II), Book of Freedom (Book III); and I find that the subject matter described within is seligbooksandvibrationtextmore easily comprehended because of my existing beliefs in multi-dimensions, multiple-lives, energy work, etc, along with my minuscule knowledge of computer-related technology.  It is the last consideration that I’m using for this ‘simile material.’

Prior to perhaps three decades ago when average households began their meteoric acquisitions of personal computers, most of us had no concept of such things as virtual realities or databases, and especially no comprehension of electronic communications systems.  (Hard to imagine, I know.)

But way back then, multi-function calculators were considered “high-tech” devices, and everyone owned a land-line or had to use a public phone booth to call anywhere.  How many of those are still around?

So now that these relatively NEWER electronic marvels are considered common fare and the latest and greatest innovations are often conversation fodder in daily office banter, our personal understanding of “all things possible” has risen sharply over the last three decades primarily because of how fast our electronic technology is advancing, and with that advancement our understanding what was once incomprehensible, becomes blasé faire.   bookofmasteryselig5.jpg

However, back to Selig’s book series and how this all relates.

The subject matter described in Selig’s trilogy is actually what I have been blogging about for the last few years: The ability to shift our frequencies higher to tune into a higher reality—a higher consciousness, and live a more loving and compassionate life in the process.

With the rise of Virtual Reality games and movies, that mind-stretching has allowed most of us a glimpse into considering the possibility that the life we are presently living is as illusionary as the VR game that we are playing with our electronic devices.

And with this consideration in mind, that also means that this life we actually do live is changeable in a positive way if the “collective consciousness” of our time can shift all our attention out of the ‘fear and hatred frequencies’ and into the higher frequencies of lovingness often called Christ Consciousness or Buddha Consciousness, or even simply called enlightenment.

We use those well known and well documented human comparisons of Christ- and Buddha-behavior to help the masses comprehend that softer/gentler attitude and mode of behavior necessary to achieve a higher frequency collective shift.  We refer to those known masters who highercomnsciousnessblue55best demonstrated what that loving kindness attitude and behavior is, was, or could be. We use them as examples—similes for depicting the highest standards of loving kindness because it’s pretty hard to relate to a non-descript ‘something’ called a “frequency.”

The importance to consider here is far less about the personage—the myth—the story of the teacher or human model (like Jesus or Buddha), and more about the higher FREQUENCY of consciousness that those models attained and adopted to reach that level of loving kindness for everyone and everything.  Once those consciousness masters successfully shifted their own personal awareness, they shifted everyone and everything around them as well by simply holding that higher frequency within themselves, because when your direct connection to SOURCE is that strong, you simply radiate that higher frequency to all around you.

And when the frequency that we personally hold rises to that higher level of lovingnesss then the world around us begins to shift higher because it has to match the frequency that we collectively hold.  I think the point of the Selig series is in learning how to shift your own thinking and behavior into that higher frequency Christ-/Buddha-consciousness range.

(For more on the frequency levels of consciousness subject, eyeoftheeyehawkinsyou might want to read Dr. David R. Hawkins’ The EYE of the I, from Which Nothing Is Hidden. Hawkins focuses on tying all awareness into light frequencies and calibrating the consciousness levels between the general masses and the great avatars/teachers who reached that state of extreme expanded awareness. I’m not certain I agree with everything he says, but he gives a thorough explanation of the multiple levels of light frequency consciousness per his theory.)

Anyway, the Selig books may be of interest to some so I’m mentioning them, and I do think I’ve noticed a shift upward in my own thinking since I began reading them—not so much that this subject matter is new territory for me to consider, but that holding that consideration so strongly for longer periods of time, is helping me to stabilize the concepts in my mind and to “think” from those view points and SEE life in a more clear, unbiased manner because of them.  Or that’s just my opinion and/or delusion.

The main simile of importance here is the one on comparing this life to a Virtual Reality game where you choose your scenario and your actions during the game. If you stay in the ‘fighting and killing games,’ it’s pretty hard to raise your frequency into loving kindness.lifeasvrgame58.jpg

 

So maybe it’s time to choose a new Virtual Reality scenario for all of us to explore.  This ‘fighting and killing thing’ is going nowhere good for anyone.

 

 

 

The Pretend Life

Lately there has been a running theme from a variety of info sources that I follow, on the importance of our being able to shift our skewed life perspectives and to welcome positive changes into our lives.positivechangeheats.jpg

During this tumultuous time for our nation and the world, not to mention in our own personal lives, I think it is important to consider what these folks are really saying about how we tend to view events occurring around us, what responsibility we all bear for allowing those events to transpire, and even more importantly, how we can shift our perspectives on any event to not allow it to emotionally affect us.

The only thing we do control in many situations is how we REACT, including how we REACT to difficult personal interactions or how we REACT to group decisions to which we personally disagree.

I will be the first one to say that NOT reacting is hard—at times VERY HARD.  But I also know that powerlessworeact.jpgwhen you can be triggered to lose your cool over any issue, either large or small, you have just given away two key personal-power stances: One, is that you’ve allowed another person or situation to pull you out of your higher-frequency energy posture and down into lower-frequency fear/anger-based thinking; and two, once your triggered reaction is achieved and you are about to explode back at them with an angry retort, you have just shown the other person or group that you are easily manipulated to their bidding simply because you can’t control your own thinking and emotions.

Dr. Joe is taking it a little further here. He is saying that the more you let your reactive emotions control you, the more you tend to believe that outside forces control your life. When this pattern of reactivity to external forces keeps reinforcing itself in your mind and bio-chemically within your physical body, it creates patterns of behavior and reactivity to every aspect of your life.

The more you condition yourself to respond to life in a certain manner, the more you reinforce that personal view where you see yourself as a ‘victim of circumstances IN-Life-is-ten-percent-what-happens-to-you-and-ninety-percent-how-you-respond-to-it..jpgbeyond your control,’ rather than the more accurate view of your having a choice and say in every decision you make that affects your life even if the most important choice is one of NOT REACTING to a stressor or an emotional trigger.

He takes it one step beyond by saying that our present perspective on life is based on past reactivity to any situation, that makes it ‘past-situation tainted’ and also means that perspective is likely untrue to the actual affecting influences of the present so that we cling to a view of our present lives that isn’t even accurate:   “The latest research on memory says that 50% of what we talk about in our past isn’t even the truth. So, we make stuff up about the past. People are reliving a life that they didn’t even have just to reaffirm that they can’t change

For all of us, there are events constantly occurring to us and around us. But what matters most to our personal wellbeing and mental health is how we see ourselves in truthful relation to those events, and our willingness to CHANGE personal behaviors that may skew our existing life perspectives.

The Reality Distortion Field

What is the reality distortion field?

I heard the term repeated this morning in relation to the Chaos-maker in Chief, so I checked the online definition against what I youngstevejobs333.jpgthought that it meant, and saw it primarily referred to Steve Jobs (Apple computer fame) ability to create a fantasy so real that others bought into it and helped bring it into reality.

How Jobs did this was through positive visualization, high-energy promotion through marketing savvy, and flat-out lying.

I think the last attribute best applies to our current chaotic situation, BUT…while I was contemplating how each of us tends to “create our own reality” and “see things the way we want to see them” I ran across some contributing thoughts from others on the subject.

Some of these thoughts might more directly apply to my consideration of creating a reality distortion field—‘seeing reality as you wish to see it while convincing others to do the same,’ and other thoughts mentioned are in reference to consciousness in general and how we tend to only focus on those aspects that we choose to be our focus to create the reality that we presently live in.

LIFE in Disarray

This morning while slurping down much-needed coffee, I was listening to the local news reports about the latest city shooting and/or domestic brouhaha or road rage going nutz34.jpgor teenage vehicle larceny/“joy ride” excursions into traffic, bridges, and buildings close to my living area; and I said to my partner: “What’s happening? ..Is everyone just going nuts now?!!”

Then I opened my online-window-to-the-world and listened to Kaypache’s latest weekly astrology interpretations—which believe it or don’t, is usually pretty accurate in checking the energy pulse of the planet and all of us on it. While his report was playing I initially wasn’t listening too closely, but then he started talking about this very thing that I had commented on this morning (around 12:50): “What’s happening? Is everyone going nuts now?”  And in his report he claims that we (the collective WE) are struggling to regain our balance in a system gone badly awry—meaning that our collectiveoperating-system’s balance is off.

So perhaps if I hadn’t just commented on Lee Harris’s energy report in the previous post, I might have ignored this warning, but since I had already mentioned it, and how even I seemed to be more reactive and not wanting to be social with my friends because of it, this seems to substantiate aspects of what Harris claimed also. The higher-frequency energies pouring in now are intensifying all aspects of our lives (like increased heat bringing a pot of once-tepid water up to bubble and boil), and that energy intensity creates more reactive situations for group interactions and for personal relationships.

There is no denying that life is hard at times. And this is one of those times made harder by flagrant incompetence and self-interested governance, wherever you look.

chaosenergy457.jpgChaos agents may have their purpose. You are seeing that purpose in action right now on a national scale, and it is not pleasant to watch or to experience for any of us. But it will create the opportunity for major changes—and THAT is what these higher-frequency energies are best at doing—raising the intensity of all interactions to force more harmonic resolution to an eventually higher playing field.

It just won’t be pretty or pleasant to endure it during the process.

Breathe….   Breathe…. (sigh) … Breathe.

 

 

My Purring 20-Pound Sack of Potatoes

I had just seen the lion image shown with the Milarepa quote when Max, lion Milarepaquote689.pngmy not-so-little-anymore orange feline, jumped to my chest (whether or not I wanted him to do so) and settled in for his short-attention-span nap.

He is all stretched out across my chest and shoulder and purring and all lovey-dovey and nuzzling my check, and I’m thinking “My gosh you are SO heavy it’s like having a hairy 20lb sack of potatoes on my chest that vibrates and purrs.”

The Milarepa quote also applies well to him.

He does NOT fetch.

But he DOES attack the thrower.

He truly has a mind of his own, more so than any other cat I’ve ever shared a house with. You can call him by name or “kitty-kitty” and he will ignore you completely. It’s a head-shaker how independent and indifferent he can be to requests for his presence.

catpotatoebag34 (1).jpgBut open a small can of anything, even if he is in the basement, and within seconds he is right there at your feet reaching up for the counter.

After 1.5 years together, we have managed to coexist better than we had there for awhile. We both gave a little and accepted that neither of us would be exactly what the other wanted, so we simply had to adapt to the idiosyncrasies we each maintained.

We made an unspoken agreement: I feed him the best quality food I can buy, and he doesn’t bite me as hard as he once did.  I now have fewer bite marks on my hands and arms than previously, although mainly because it IS winter and I wear long-sleeved shirts now.

See?  At least I’m adaptable.

Clearly he views me as HIS property because I can’t go far in the house without him, and he naps where I am within reach of him, whether I’m on the computer or reading in my chair.

He still plays “ambush” and “kitty-commando” every morning during and after I make the bed. I’ve just gotten used to having him grab my leg in a take-down maneuver whenever I walk past it. (Also better experienced in sweatpants than bare legs!)

So this once wild-thing that shares my house has mellowed slightly during his tenure here, and I’ve grown to better appreciate his untamable nature that does make me laugh at his crazier antics.

We even dared to put the Christmas tree up this year, and he was pretty good—only chewed through (nearly stripped the wires) off the lowest light strand once. Fortunately it was attached to a power strip that was shut off at the time or the result might not have been so favorable for him.catpotatoebag34 (2).jpg

Basically it’s a live and learn situation.

I learn to have a LOT of patience, and he lives in the house another day.

 

 

The Immeasurable ALLNESS in Everything

This title came to me while I was lying in bed last night. Too lazy to get back up and write it down before I forgot it, I thought, Good luck remembering that one by morning, but it actually stuck around to be posted now.

What does that even mean: the immeasurable ALLNESS in everything? What is my High Self trying to help me understand?

What I really wanted to write about was the gender-polarity of the views over the Kavanaugh hearings. Even today on Facebook, I see the posts by outraged women countered by a few male comments below them saying basically “What’s the big deal? He’s qualified. Get over it!”

Well as a woman, I can honestly say that this situation/subject matter handling isn’t something you “get over” as much as you work through it to come out the other side—maybe a bit battered and bruised in the process, but alive and resolved to never let it happen to you again. THAT’S the BIG DEAL.

For US as women, this is just the latest character-building material that defines us either as a malefemalebrains35brain.jpgsuccessful survivor of malicious male intentions or as a helpless victim of them.  For those who erroneously believe the political/righteous battle is now over, I am amazed at your naiveté.  It has only begun—renewed by such flagrant dismissal of women’s attempts to get those in power to listen to us and take our claims seriously. Once again, we’ve been underestimated, but that is our true advantage in this situation with the midterms only a month away. Our VOTE is powerful—individually and as a group block.

And even in stating that, at the same time I see Higher Intention’s influence in this overall scenario of Trump’s ascendance to power with the flagrantly-hailed patriarchal mind-set of women as easily-dismissed, inconsequential objects of a male dominated world that through some weird quirk of fate (or Spirit’s perverse sense of humor), he presently rules.

So where is the “immeasurable ALLNESS” in this?

The ALLNESS is in the process itself: adversity drives resistance, and resistance drives change. Polarity exists to provide movement and counter movement to progress our conscious awareness.

The progression of conscious awareness drives higher thought and human behavioral adaptation to expanded ways of thinking.

The “immeasurable ALLNESS” in this situation means that as a human species, we are continually testing ourselves and our latent abilities to recognize our human sameness, rather than our gender differences.

2ndmouthtape43.jpgThe ascendance of Trump meant that the “King of All Shadows” is fully exposing how easily personal perversion and greed affects collective social behavior—human desires—human weaknesses—human motivations.

We’re being schooled in how divisiveness and fear can control the masses—IF WE ALLOW IT TO HAPPEN!

The real question is: Are we going to accept the challenge and make the much needed change in political leadership that drives our nation forward, rather than let them pull us further backward?

I hope so.   I VOTE to move forward with positive changes for ourselves and for our nation.

VOTE in November—it really does represent “the immeasurable ALLNESS in everything” that we hold dear.

On Being Positive

If folks think that maintaining a positive attitude in today’s world comes easily, I can posemotibunch.jpgassure them that it isn’t.

When we are enveloped in such blatant cruelty to other human beings—strafed daily with offensive, verbal assaults on our person and our differing ideas—staying positive through all of THAT is quite a trick.

Every morning we have to armor up and set our defense shields to “DEFLECT” just tosupersademotri.png make it through the day. That’s a little sad, don’t you think? (Insert SAD- face emoji here for emphasis.)

Yesterday I watched a lovely, gentle person I know try to defend her immigration/child separation Facebook posts against cruel, heartless comments that countered her message.  I offered my simple “HEART-LIKE” (insert HEART emoji here) to her just to let her know that I stand hearteoti9with her, if only from a distance; but at the same time I know that when we engage on social media with people who strongly disagree with us and disagree with who we are as loving individuals, then they are NOT really our friends, even though they might be on our FRIENDS list.

And if we can’t handle their unkind comments, then we must either remove them as our FRIENDS or stay off the PUBLIC airwaves—it’s that simple.  But then it isn’t really simple, is it?  In fact, it’s a large, complex issue that isn’t going away anytime soon.

Unfortunately the level of venom in today’s public discussion has reached such fever ick emoti8.pngpitch that it’s like watching a foot-long hotdog being torn apart by two ravenous dogs. Something’s gonna give there—and within seconds that once-whole hotdog will never be seen again—at least in the same form that it previously was. (Insert “ICK!” emoji here.)

How can we be positive about the present state of our declining human condition?

A couple days ago I heard someone on a news show discussing what was happening to our sense of civility in general; and this person said something that I agree with: We are in an unmasking period in human interaction where the “shadow-side” of human nature is dislikeemoti84.jpgrising to the surface for all to view and assess.  No more pretending to “tolerate” others. (Never did like that word “tolerate”)

I agree.  Clearly we don’t tolerate dissension now. We don’t tolerate views that differ from our own. We don’t tolerate people who do not look like us or act like us, or talk like us. We don’t rise above our prejudices or biases—we embrace them, right? We remove the mask and say “Hey those of YOU who do not look or think, or act like me, … I hate you! And I’m proud of hating you!  So there!  Deal with it!”

As we now look closely at that unmasking of our deepest and darkest human natures, we say, “Yes, bigotry and prejudice, and racism, and homophobia, and xenophobia, etc….YES, …these all exist in our present world society and in each of us to some degree; and we are not as culturally and consciously advanced as the civilized people that we once believed our nation and the people who compose it, were thought to be.  We are barbarians still—pure and simple—we are still immersed in our primal fears of scarcity and fears of personal annihilation, and we are incapable of rising above those fears!”

We fear “otherness” in general, and in today’s permissive environment we act out those fears in the most putrefying and nauseating ways imaginable.horrifying emoti5

And that’s not just emoji “SAD-face” folks—that is emoji horrifying!    (Insert that nasty thing here.)

 

But yet, ….the POSITIVE from this great unmasking is that people can no longer hide behind who they once pretended to be—because they have been unmasked–unmasked by themselves in all their acrimonious glory–they have all exposed themselves for their true feelings on just about every imaginable subject—whether you wanted to know them or not.
